Wild Foraged
Tassel Hill Farms focuses on sustainable Ramp/Wild Leek foraging in the Spring months. We have the ability to forage over 1,500 lbs sustainably on privately owned land, NEVER State owned lands. We focus on mature ramps, meaning big bulbs, no dig, no root or rhizome. Ramps are available for 3-4 weeks depending on the season (Mid April - Late May).
We have also begun harvesting minimal amounts of the amazing Chaga Mushroom. Harvested only from private property we have harvest in a sustainable fashion similarly to our ramps.
Please inquire via email for wholesale pricing.
This is a pre order of ramps. They are wild foraged so availability date is dependent on mother nature. However pre ordering significantly helps us in foraging and ensures you have the first harvest.
Sustainably foraged wild ramps. Belonging to the Allium Family ramps may also be referred to as “Wild Leeks” have a flavor profile between onions and garlic. Use the entire plant in your kitchen, sautéed greens are great additions to any dish or sauce and then roast, pickle or slice and use the bulbs raw!
The Chaga mushroom is considered to be one of the most antioxidant rich wild growing organisms. From an uplift in energy and improvements of gut health to cancer fighting claims, this is a must have in your diet.
Our Chaga is harvested from private property, off of Birch trees, dried and processed immediately ensuring the active ingredients stay intact.
Sold in 2 inch chunks for easy use. However if you desire large chunks please inquire via email.
Suggested use: steep in hot water, just below boiling until water begins to turn brown. Intensity heightens as water gets darker. Dry used chunks after use and reuse until they lose their shape.
